What Can We Do and What Do We Think?

WWN's attitude is that the women's market is a main-stream, majority market not to be trivialised, marginalised or patronised. WWN believes that, while many of the concerns, needs and celebrations of women are different from those of men, they are no less important.

WWN women understand that equality does not mean being the same! They celbrate their 'women-ness' and would like to see themselves reflected in the mainstream media.

Wherever women are, WWN gathers material: businesses, shopping malls, conferences, playgrounds, cafes, in homes and on holidays and sources existing material both in New Zealand and overseas. WWN also provides environments for women to interact and have their say - talk shows, 'street corner' forums, etc.

WWN can package and/or produce specific types of programmes to meet the specific needs of women audiences: business programmes, certificated courses and education programmes, lifestyle programmes, women's sport, comedy, drama, talk shows.

WWN can supply this range of material because it has within its network of contributors, women who have a specific focus on the varied needs of the target groups and have themselves an impressive track record in serving those target groups.
