Foreign Correspondents

Foreign correspondents on temporary assignment in Israel will be provided with Israeli press credentials on the basis of the following criteria:

Presentation of a valid international press card
Presentation of a valid press card issued by an official issuing body, such as a foreign government press office or a National Union of Journalists membership card.

Each visiting correspondent must apply to the Government Press office in Jerusalem for his/her press card in person and bring 2 non-returnable passport sized photos. In order to receive Press Accreditation on arrival in Israel please email the Embassy with the the following details:
Full names and passport numbers of crew;
Name of organisation you represent;
Details of travel dates;
Brief Itinerary;

Freelance photographers

Freelance photographers must bring a letter of assignment from their employer or agency

Television Crews

Television crews arriving in Israel with professional equipment are asked to travel to Israel with a valid international carnet. Alternatively, you may contact the Government Press Office at least two days prior to your arrival in Israel and fax them a detailed list of all your equipment, together with its serial numbers and your date of arrival, flight number and names and passport numbers of all crew members. The Government Press Office will then forward this information to the Israeli customs authorities.
